How to Discern "Monitoring" Spirits and Overcome Them as Believers

BY PRINCE EUDES What exactly are Monitoring Spirits? Well, they are spiritual beings that operate in the supernatural realm, with the not-so-friendly task of observing and monitoring the lives of individuals. Their main goal is to gather information, take notes, and report back to the forces of darkness, seeking any vulnerability they can exploit in our lives. It's like they're running some kind of spiritual surveillance mission! Now, you might be wondering if this idea of monitoring spirits is biblical. You bet it is! The Bible sheds light on these malevolent beings in various passages, and it's essential to understand what it says about them to be equipped to deal with their influence. In the book of Job [ Job 1:7 ], we find an intriguing scene where the sons of God come to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also comes among them. The Lord Himself asks Satan if he has considered His faithful servant Job. This implies that there are spiritual beings constantly o...

Promises and Expectations*

*Promises and Expectations*   _By Prince Eudes_  Serving God may not always look like what we expect, but we can rest in His love and faithfulness. March 10, 2024 Judges 13:1-25 In today’s passage, an angel brings good news to Manoah’s infertile wife: She would have a baby who’d be set apart for God’s service and bring deliverance to His people (vv. 1-5). After news like that, she probably imagined that her son’s life would be filled with holiness and happily-ever-afters. And in accordance with God’s plan, Manoah and his wife taught Samson to follow the strict guidelines of the Nazirite vow of dedication. (See Num. 6:1-21.) But Samson’s life didn’t turn out the way his parents may have dreamed. Though blessed with a godly upbringing and incredible physical strength, he got involved with women from pagan countries. And he confessed to Delilah, a Philistine woman he loved, the secret of his strength: It was related to the Nazirite vow, which included that “no razor shall pa...

Surrounded By Favor

Surrounded By Favor PSALM 5:12 NIV 12 For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. God's favor can change your life. Someone who is favored is called a favor-ite. (The New Testament teaches that being righteous (in right standing with God), is a gift we receive when we receive Jesus -- not something we attain by our works.) So, the promise of Scripture is that God surrounds you with favor. What does that mean? Favor is the blessing of God making people like you and treat you well. Is it automatic? We have access to God's grace only through faith (Romans 5:2). So, you will never experience the fullness of God's favor without believing for it. Faith is released through words. So every day thank the Lord for giving you favor with people, for surrounding you with favor! Don't say, "People don't like me." or "Everybody seems to be against me." or "I never get a break." Instead say, "T...

LOVE ONE ANOTHER

*Love One Another*   _*By Prince Eudes*_  JOHN 13:34-35 ESV 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35   this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." JOHN 15:12 ESV 12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. JOHN 15:17 ESV 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another. ROMANS 12:10 ESV 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. ROMANS 13:8 ESV 8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 1 CORINTHIANS 6:7 ESV 7 To have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? GALATIANS 5:13 ESV 13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one ...

When Loneliness Overwhelms*

*When Loneliness Overwhelms*   _By Prince Eudes_  What should you do when you feel alone? January 22, 2024 Hebrews 13:5-8 Solitude can be nice—relaxing, even—especially after a busy day or a long shift at work. Spending time alone can leave you feeling recharged and rested. But loneliness is different. So, what should you do if you feel lonely? First, ask yourself if you’ve accepted Jesus’ invitation to have a personal relationship with Him. He is the nearest, dearest friend you can ever have. Second, remember that God repeatedly promises that He will never leave or abandon you. (See Deut. 31:6; Josh. 1:5;Josh. 1:9; Ps. 27:10; John 14:18.) You can also ...  Pray. Ask the Lord to help you have a right understanding of who you are as His child. Scripture tells us that God loves us with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3) and that He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Prov. 18:24). Ask Him to help you to feel His love and friendship. Memorize the Lord’s pro...

WHAT IS FAITH?

What Is Faith? ROMANS 1:17 ESV 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith." Since the Bible reveals that we, who have been made righteous by receiving Jesus Christ, are to live by faith, we need to know what faith is. Faith is what you believe. In the New Testament, faith is the noun form and believe is the verb form of the same word. Faith is not difficult to understand. If you believe something, that is your faith. Faith and belief are the same thing. A belief is something you have accepted as truth and consider to be true, whether it is actually true or not. Faith is not a feeling, attitude, outlook, or state. Faith is primarily a choice, a decision of your will. Nothing can force you to believe. What you believe is a decision you make. Here is a definition: Faith is always a decision, based on some evidence, resulting in some action. So faith is when you are persuaded by the evidence you h...

Focus On Eternity

SERMORMON BY PRINCE EUDES   Focus On Eternity By Prince Eudes MATTHEW 6:19-20 NLT 19 "Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. When I was young my family had a wall plaque which said: "Only one life, will soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last." 1 CORINTHIANS 3:13 NLT 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person's work has any value. If I buy a vehicle for myself it will last only a few years. Then it will rust, wear out, and break down. But if I buy a vehicle for someone that will enable them to preach the Gospel to more people, the blessing and memory of that purchase will last for eternity. This is not to say it is wrong to have nice things for ourselves. (For it does not bring glory...
