CONSULT GOD sermon by Prince Eudes

 PRAISE THE LORD

          WORD FOR TODAY

                        CONSULT GOD

                          BY Prince Eudes

God promises you in Psalm 32:8 that, He will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; and will give you counsel and watch over you. God has the wisdom, the guidance, and the direction we need, but it doesn’t happen automatically. Many times we make our plans without consulting God, then we ask Him to bless them... and we wonder why things don't work out for us. The right way is to ask God first. "God, is this what You want me to do? Should I start this project, should I take this trip, should I make this purchase?” If you feel peace about it, go forward. If not, hold back. God knows what’s best for you. He will not only keep you on the right path today, but He will keep you from making major mistakes. So choose to consult God for guidance in every decision you make.

Persevere in Passing Down Your Faith

Persevere in Passing Down Your Faith MESSAGE FROM PRINCE EUDES  Our efforts may at times look like failures, but that doesn’t mean God has stopped working through us to achieve His purposes. November 11, 2023 James 1:2-4 Is there someone with whom you’ve consistently but unsuccessfully tried to share Jesus? It can be disheartening, but God’s Word encourages us to not grow weary of doing good ( 2 Thess. 3:13 ). That’s the third way to pass along your faith: perseverance. Yesterday we read about how to tell loved ones about Jesus through our actions, but doing something once or even a few times isn’t enough. There must be consistency. Does what you believe have merit in small situations as well as in major ones? Do you still trust God in those times when circumstances look impossible? How do you react when things don’t go your way? What do you do when life gets tough? Do you keep loving others no matter what? Don’t be discouraged or feel guilty when you fall short. We all are ...

Lord, Teach Us to Pray

Lord, Teach Us to Pray Keep talking to the Lord—He always welcomes you, just as you are. November 12, 2023 Matthew 9:35-38 When it comes to prayer, there are two common pitfalls to be aware of. First, when it’s unclear what to pray, some people choose not to pray at all. And second, many believers settle into a lifeless form of praying that leaves them feeling hollow and disconnected from God. Both situations lead to discontentment and frustration. As Christians, we know that we should pray, even if doing so seems daunting. But far more than any sense of obligation we may feel, it’s wise to recognize that God intended prayer as a blessing for His children: Communing with Him is a fundamental way of experiencing His fullness. We have much to gain by praying—including peace, comfort, wisdom, and God’s very presence. So it would be tragic to give up on trying. And remember, when we communicate with God, there’s no measuring stick or scorecard. A fumbling yet heartfelt attem...

To See the Glory of God’s Purposes

To See the Glory of God’s Purposes The light of Christ provides hope, love, and power to overcome any darkness. January 2, 2024 Ephesians 1:18-19 If you’ve ever stumbled through your house in the dark, then you know that even perfect vision is useless without light. But flip a switch, and everything suddenly becomes much clearer. That’s what Paul’s getting at when he prays “that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened” (Eph. 1:18). It’s not a prayer for some kind of spiritual X-ray vision; rather, he’s asking that God enable the Ephesians to view everything they experience in the best light of all—His light. What did they need to see? The scope and richness of salvation in Christ. First, it’s grounded in hope, something the Ephesians didn’t have before their encounter with Jesus. They’d been outside God’s kingdom, but as a result of His calling, they became His people. That reality transformed not only their future but also their present. Now, as God’s treasured people, they wer...
